About the Area: Mariaville Lake is a 200 acre lake located in western Schenectady County. It is perfect for fishing, swimming, and canoeing. The community has a laid back peaceful vibe but you can be as active as you want and hike or bike. There is plenty of antiquing, shopping, and historical haunts nearby.

Inn Description: Rick and Lorrie Runnels purchased the home in November 2003 and after extensive renovations opened as a bed and breakfast in July 2004. Our common rooms offer cable TV, wireless, and games. Our gorgeous lawns offer a place to play and relax.

Breakfast is an unrushed event, served in our formal dining room or on our three season glassed in porch. Whenever possible we purchase local or organic ingredients and are always happy to accommodate a vegetarian or vegan lifestyle.

Rooms Description: We offer five unique guest rooms; each filled with antiques, and all with queen beds, private bath and view of the lake. Most of the rooms have hardwood floors and original moldings. There are two marble fireplaces. The Lakeview and Vineyard Room are located in the oldest part of the house and open with skeleton keys. The Colonial Room occupies the former upstairs porch and the Country Room with a queen and twin is spacious and private. The Suite has a living room with morning bar, bedroom, and full bath.

Specials: Mariaville Lake B&B now offers massages right here in the comfort of your guest room. Treat yourself to a deep tissue Swedish Massage by a New york licensed massage therapist. Please reserve two weeks in advance to insure availability. One hour massage: $90 Couples one hour each: $155 Couples 30 minutes each; $90 We really do want to support live music. Going to shows is one of our favorite things to do and we love to meet others who feel the same way. If you are attending a concert or arts event in the Capital Region, make it a really special night and reserve a room with us. Show us your ticket and receive 10% off the regular room rate. Shows at Proctors, the Egg, Palace Theater, Revolution Hall, Northern Lights, Times Union Center and many others all qualify. Advance reservations required, subject to availability. Mariaville events not included.

Locations / Directions: We are located in the hamlet of Mariaville in the town of Duanesburg. It is nice and quiet with views of the lake from every room. Just 15-20 minutes from Amsterdam or Schenectady, and a 30 minute highway drive to Albany.
